There was a fantastic atmosphere in the Square at Barts earlier today as blue sky and sunshine blessed the annual View Day.

Patients, staff and visitors grabbed free ice-creams as they took the opportunity to speak with the various departments of the Hospital who, in the long standing tradition of View Day, were there to talk about the work they do and the ground-breaking techniques that they’ve developed.

The Guild’s stall was very popular and over £350 of gifts and souvenirs were sold, together with £50 received in donations. Staff recognised Monique and Russel, two of our trolley volunteers, and praised the Guild for providing a much needed and welcome service for patients who are unable to visit the shop.

Our thanks go to all the volunteers who helped us make View Day a success, including Hilary, Jan, Jean, Monique, Russel, and Wendy.
