Throughout 2025, our dedicated team of Shop & Trolley volunteers clocked up an outstanding 4,170 hours of voluntary service to the hospital community at Barts.

Each volunteer has received a personalised Certificate of Service that records the number of hours they gave to the Guild last year, awarded with “Thank You for Making a Difference” by the Trustees and Management Committee.

The Certificate highlights the crucial work that our volunteers undertake and notes that “our volunteers’ friendly and compassionate attitude can really ease the stress of a very busy or worrying day”.

We are very proud of the contribution our 25 volunteers make to the patients, visitors and staff at Barts each and every week, and we continue to acknowledge their vital work in 2026.
