Christmas 2025

Posted: December 30th, 2025

Guild volunteers Lesley and Steve, resplendent in his Watford FC jumper, spent Christmas Day at Barts delivering presents funded by the Guild to staff who worked over the festive period and to those patients who were receiving treatment in the Hospital.

We gave out 442 presents over approximately 5 hours, including returning to the Shop to replenish supplies as the Guild spread some Christmas magic.

Staff and patients were really appreciative and we’re extremely grateful to Lesley and Steve for spending their Christmas Day in the Hospital, and Steve for returning the next day to ensure the Shop was ready to reopen yesterday.

The Guild also awarded a grant to Radiography staff in order for them to purchase presents for those patients who had to receive treatment on Christmas Eve.

Our present giving trolley run brought to a close the Guild’s Christmas, which started in the Great Hall on December 3rd with the welcome return of the ‘Celebration of Christmas’ concert, beautifully performed by the Barts and The London Music Society students.

We hope everyone had a good Christmas and send our very best wishes for 2026.
